Here’s a V-33 showing off her true colors – or lack thereof. The Valhalla 33 Flapjack features a Kingston Grey hull and hardtop, Whisper Grey topsides, Cadet Grey upholstery, black-and-grey Mercury Verado V8 300s, black powder-coated hardtop supports and a host of other fastidious appointments. “We work closely with every owner to develop a personalized aesthetic theme for their Valhalla,” says Sean Healey of Valhalla Boatworks. “This particular owner used black and various shades of grey to accentuate a clean, sexy-cool look.”

Teak accents from bow to stern create an attractive contrast to Flapjack’s attention-getting black-and-grey ensemble. The transom’s faux teak finish serves as the perfect backdrop for the boat’s moniker, which references owner Bill O’Hara’s business – Uncle Bill’s Pancake House restaurants on the Jersey Shore. Like the eateries, Flapjack will be family-focused with the O’Hara clan using the V-33 for fishing, cruising and fun. The radar and other antennas are black, as are both the port and starboard Valhalla logos, the rubrail and lower guard rail. Clean and cool.

The deck liner, console, seating modules and other components (even the speaker grills and fish boxes) all boast the same Whisper Grey hue. Flapjack is also outfitted with teak helm chairs, forward bench seating with teak backrests and a teak helm pod (all from Release Marine). The upholstery is something special, too, with its Diamond/Bentley black stitching and piping meshing seamlessly with the Cadet Grey premium Sunbrella fabric. In keeping with Flapjacks’s fish-and-cruise aspirations, the V-33 has six custom Gemlux rod/cupholders along the forward coaming and two more outboard of the GG Schmitt transom seats.

Every facet of this V-33 was carefully considered. For instance, while the hardtop supports are powder-coated in black, the owner thought the subtler Whisper Grey was the best choice for the recessed low-profile bow rail. That same Whisper Grey adorns the interior of the console and is offset nicely by the black acrylic battery distribution panel and access panels.
