Fast and fun with premium accommodations and Viking quality, the 55 Sport Yacht expands Valhalla into a high-performance luxury cruising yacht built for comfort, style and extended time aboard.
"The 55 Sport Yacht represents our ability to diversify within a model and meet the needs of more owners," says Viking President and CEO Pat Healey. "It takes the proven performance of our 55 center console hull and merges it with an exciting, contemporary design for the cruising crowd."
Powered by quad Mercury Verado V12 600s, the 55 SY runs on the Michael Peters Yacht Design Stepped-V Ventilated Tunnel hull for a fast, stable and efficient ride. The boat carries 1,100 gallons of fuel, 150 gallons of water, 60 gallons of diesel for the generator and a 50-gallon holding tank.
The aft deck is built for relaxation and entertaining, with several layout choices. Owners can select a U-shaped summer kitchen with U-shaped aft seating, an L-shaped summer kitchen with swing door and either U-shaped or booth-style seating, or a bar-top arrangement with booth-style seating. A powered aft window opens the pilothouse to the aft deck, and an optional drop-down HD TV adds to the outdoor entertainment area.
The aft deck offers multiple ways to board, move around and connect with the water, including a port-side boarding door, optional starboard-side boarding door and transom-mounted Garelick retractable ladder.
The pilothouse brings the outside in, with a powered sunroof, port and starboard sliding doors, a one-piece windshield and a clean, glass-style helm with multifunction displays. The space can be climate controlled or opened to the breeze, giving owners flexibility in changing weather.
Below, the 55 SY offers premium accommodations with a galley, dinette and two-stateroom layout with island queen as standard. An optional aft stateroom layout is also available. The forward master includes a queen berth, and the interior is finished with high-gloss walnut, Amtico flooring, quartz countertops and the fit and finish expected from Viking and Valhalla.
The 55 Sport Yacht is also engineered for extended cruising, with a 15kW diesel generator, air conditioning, water heater, dockside freshwater connection, Electrosea, Zipwake trim control and available Seakeeper SK10, watermaker, bow thruster and factory-installed Garmin or Simrad electronics packages.
The 55 SY brings another dimension to Valhalla’s lineup – combining outboard performance, premium accommodations and Viking quality in a luxury sport yacht built to run, relax and stay longer.
